Salim Kumar and Dhanush Shares best actor award in 2011 58th National film awards.


The National Award for best actor will be shared by Tamil cinema's Dhanush and Malayalam actor Salim Kumar for their work in 'Aadukalam' and 'Adaminde Makan Abu', respectively, it was announced here on Thursday.
Salim Kumar has won the National Award winner for Best Actor. He has bagged this prestigious award for the film Adaminte Makan Abu.

He shares the award with Dhanush for Aadukalam.

Directed by Salim Ahmed, Adaminte Makan Abu has Salim Kumar playing an old vendor who roams the streets of Malabar, selling Yunani medicines and Athar


Marathi actress Mitalee Jagtap Paradhar and Tamil cinema's Saranya won the National Award for best actress for their performances in the movies ‘Baboo Band Baaja’ and ‘Thenmerku Paruvakkaatru’ respectively.
Vishal Bhardwaj's rural drama ‘Ishqiya’ won four National Awards including awards for best music for the director and best female playback singer for his wife Rekha Bhardwaj.
There were two technical awards for the film while Kamod Karade won best audiography location sound recordist, Debajit Changmai was named best re-recordist of the final mixed track.
